Hydromed Gel Dressing
Sterile, transparent, water-based amorphous gel (hydrogel) (>70%), calcium alginate, and carboxymethylcellulose, indicated for the removal of necrotic tissue. It rehydrates the necrotic tissue by removing it without damaging the newly formed tissue or causing trauma to the patient. facilitates autolytic debridement and absorbs excess exudate from the wound. Hydromed gel is nonadherent and can be removed by irrigation with saline without damaging the newly formed fragile tissue or causing trauma to the patient. It remains in situ after application.
